Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Assistant Position – Development of Additives for Construction Materials

The Center for Environmental Intelligence (CEI) is a hub for “Green and Sustainable Tech Transfer” at VinUni. Key research areas involve the development of AI-driven advanced materials for energy storage, energy conversion, and green chemical production.

Key responsibilities:

• Investigate and test additives for construction materials, such as cements, concrete, or asphalt.
• Conduct material characterization and analyze experimental data.
• Prepare manuscripts and reports, publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Support research proposal writing and maintain laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:

• We are looking for a highly creative self-motivated team player with a Bachelor/Master’s degree for the Research Assistant position, and a Ph.D. for the Postdoctoral Fellow in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of cement chemistry and microstructure of cement paste is a plus.
• Experience with material characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM, FTIR, Raman, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute experiments, conduct independent research, and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
• Strong scientific judgment, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
